Versailles, MO - The Lucas Oil Midwest Extreme Dirt Track Series was back in action this weekend for round five at the Tooth and Nail Raceway in Versailles MO. Just as all of the EDT Nationals and most of the Midwest races this spring and summer there was a threat of rain throughout the afternoon and evening. Mother Nature was kind to the racers, some of whom had traveled several hours, and kept the rain away from the racetrack. The ATVA sanctioned series draws riders from Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, and Oklahoma.

Josh Hibdon of Oak Grove MO picked up his first win of the season in the Pro Lites class with an impressive run in front of Danny Mcgraw and Kendall Webb who finished 2nd and 3rd. Hibdon and Mcgraw battled for the lead early while Webb was coming from the sixth spot off the line. Mcgraw stayed close for the entire race but was unable to take the lead away from Hibdon. Cory Wilson finished in the fourth spot and Wyatt Gann rounded out the top five.

In the Pro-Am class Hibdon grabbed the early lead in front of Mcgraw and Wilson. Webb was again slow off the line but made a big push to run down the leaders. Using the split lanes Webb was able to gain on the leader before finally taking over the top spot in the 12th lap of the 15 lap main event. Hibdon finished in 2nd followed by Mcgraw, Cory Wilson and Luke Kates.

With two rounds remaining in the series Webb leads both the Pro Lites and Pro Am Unlimited classes while Hibdon, Mitch Reynolds, Danny Mcgraw, and Eli Bieschke are all in the top five in the Pro Lites class. In the Pro Am Webb is followed again by Hibdon, Colter Loshbaugh, Mcgraw, and Mitch Reynolds.
