Once the first lap came to its
end, positions started to shift. Many riders made
mistakes in the tricky sand, while others kept
their cool and gained a few spots. Furthermore,
technical issues came into play. The duo Bricheux
/ Holmes lost a few places due to a crash, fortunately
without injuries. Brusseleers/Van Grinsven, last
year 7th place, ended their race with engine troubles
after 3 laps.
The biggest surprise came from Romain Couprie.
The multi-winner of Le Quaduro ended his race
after 6 laps, or 2 hours, into the race. At
that moment, Couprie was riding around 10th
place and suffered his second broken exhaust.

| Two
hours in the race, DWT's Jeremie Warnia
had a good minute lead on second place
rider Jan Vlaeymans |
After the first couple of pit stops and almost
two hours into the race, the standing started
to show its more definitive form. Team Motoworks
rider Jeremie Warnia had a good minute on Jan
Vlaeymans. About two minutes behind Vlaeymans
was Matthieu Ternynck. Ternynck was followed closely
by his teammate at Drag’on, Clement Jay.
The top 5 was complete with Joe Maessen (Suziki/Goldspeed).
The latter ran into some difficulties. During
a pit stop, his ATV wasn’t parked 100%
on the for seen space. An official of the organization
had to correct him, which lead to a time penalty.
Thereby losing his fifth place to Bricheux/Holmes.
Behind the top 5, positions did keep on changing. The
duo Vinchon/Dutrie gained a place due to the
elimination of Couprie. Julien Valentin (Cam-Am
France) had to trade in his 10th place for 13th
position. Auke Theuninck (KTM/Deforce) and Joffrey
Anigue claimed in the final hour of the race
a top 10 place.
At the finish line, after more then 3 hours
of racing, Jeremie Warnia crossed the checkered
flag. He had won with a 5 minute lead on Vlaeymans
in the final hour of the race. Mattieu Ternynck
came in third, just 20 seconds before Clement
Jay. Ternynck was pleased to end up on the podium
once more. Nevertheless, he still is looking
for his first win at the Quaduro.
