#2 Doug Eichner grabs the Holeshot over
KTM mounted Darrell Patton in Moto One,
but Patton grabbed the Holeshot in Moto
Two |
In the Open Pro class Doug Eichner grabbed the holeshot
in moto one and checked out. Following Eichner off
the line were Chris Riley, TJ Dietrich, Darrell
Patton, and Roberto Villalobos. “I got out
front in the first moto and just rode my own race,”
said Eichner. Crossing the finish line behind Eichner
was Jeremie Warnia in 2nd, and TJ Dietrich in 3rd.
In moto two, it was KTM Mounted Darrell Patton
that ran away with the holeshot “My motor
was running awesome. Things definitely went better
than last time,” said Patton who led the
race for several laps before Eichner made his
move and took over the lead. As the race wore
on Patton fell back to 6th place while French
racer Jeremie Warnia took over the lead.

TJ Dietrich rounded out the top three, and
he is now 2 points behind Doug Eichner in
the Open Pro Class |
At the end of the day, it was French racer Jeremie
Warnia who took the overall win in the Open Pro
class, followed by Doug Eichner in 2nd and TJ
Dietrich in 3rd. Tecate Mexico’s Roberto
Villalobos claimed 4th and Darrell Patton rounded
out the top five.

#97 Justin Noss claimed his 2nd Straight
Win in the 250 Mod Class on his Yamaha Raptor
250 |
In the new 250 Mod Pro-am class, it was Justin
Noss who took the win over Keith Taylor in second
and Dustin Nelson in 3rd. “I really want
to win that Raptor 250,” declared Noss who
is the current points leader in the class. As
a promotional tool, Yamaha plans to give away
a brand new Raptor 250 to the points winner of
the 250 Mod Pro-am class at the end of the 2008
ITP Quadcross season.
In the 450 4-stroke Expert class, it was Can-Am/Motoworks
racer Dillon Zimmerman who grabbed the overall
win with a 1-1 finish. Zimmerman was followed
by Justin Hayward in 2nd place, while Jordan Hanson
claimed the final spot on the podium. In the 450
2&4 Stroke Beginner class, Justin Klinger
claimed an impressive 1-1 finish, which earned
him the overall win, with Chase Thomas finishing
in 2nd and Jesse Vargas landing in 3rd. In the
2&4 Stroke Intermediate class it was Garrin
Fuller taking the overall win, followed by Bill
Nuxoll in 2nd and Michael Cahill in 3rd place.
Round six of the ITP Quadcross series will be
held on August 10th and will once again be hosted
by Glen Helen Raceway where Dustin Nelson hopes
to be back in top form to increase his points
lead over Can-Am’s Josh Frederick, who is
only 20 points behind in second place
