Masontown, WV (5/29/2014) - With three rounds of UTV Racing in the books, the Mountaineer Run GNCC marks the halfway point for the UTV Classes as the GNCC Racing series heads into the backstretch to set the racers one step closer to the many UTV Class Championships. Can-Am’s Kyle Chaney earned the top spot on the XC1 UTV Class Podium also taking the UTV Class Points lead at the Mountaineer GNCC. JB Racing / Can-Am’s 41 Tim Farr finished second followed by JB Racing / Can-Am’s 44 Larry Hendershot Jr.

Kyle Chaney has landed on the podium two out of three races so far this season. After having a rough UTV season opener at the General GNCC, Chaney redeemed himself by earning second in the XC1 UTV Class at round 2.

At the Mountaineer Run GNCC Round 3, Kyle Chaney was once again on the gas and out to prove that he has what it takes to earn the top spot on the GNCC XC1 UTV Class podium. That is exactly what Chaney did with the help of GNCC Pro XC1 ATV Racer Chris Bithell as his co-pilot.

“The woods were awesome but the rocks were treacherous and by the end of the race all the rocks showed their faces. My Can-Am Maverick worked awesome. Three Can-Am’s on the podium today so it was a big day for Can-Am,” said Kyle Chaney

Finishing second at UTV Round 3 was JB Racing / Can-Am’s Tim Farr.  The Can-Am Maverick driver Tim Farr and his co-pilot Julie Farr finished just 15 seconds behind the leaders.

Despite grabbing the Holeshot, Tim Farr had to back down on the throttle so he would not roll over. Tim & his wife Julie Farr would finish second for the day

“I got the holeshot in my row but then I tipped in the first corner and I went into the woods third. It was tough all day and the track was not easy and there was a lot of dust. I think we had a good pace and Kyle (Chaney) got by us early in our row.  But we got by a lot of the front row guys and we just kept charging,” explained Tim Farr
