Kevin Yoho ran one of his best races ever
this weekend. The Yamaha rider got a good
start and was rounding out the top five at
the end of the first lap. Yoho moved into
fourth in the second lap, but fell back to
sixth after Adam McGill and Chris Bithell
got by, putting him in sixth place at the
end of the day.

Brian Wolf got a great start but fell
back to seventh before crossing the

Brian Wolf was off to a great start and was
in third at the end of the first lap, but
in lap two, he fell back to the number six
spot and ended his day in seventh.
Johnny Gallagher started off in the number
ten spot but kept a steady pace and was able
to move in for an eighth place finish.

North Carolina rider Dustin Canipe moved
up from eleventh for a ninth place finish
and Jeff Pickens hung on to round out the
top ten in the XC1 pro class.
It looked like it would be a good day for
the Yamaha/Ballance Racing team as Taylor
Kiser and Walker Fowler were running one and
two in the first lap, but that was all that
would happen after both riders suffered mechanical
issues in the second lap and were forced to
call it a day. “It was going good for
both of us, but we both ended up with issues.
I’m looking forward to Kentucky and
hopefully things will go our way there and
we’ll be on the podium,” stated
Walker Fowler.

In the Pro-am class, Eric Hoyland took his
first win of the season. Hoyland led from
start to finish and was able to hold off a
late challenge by second place Braden Henthorn.
Matt Hanna hung on to take his first podium
finish of the season in third, while Patrick
McGuire finished in fourth and Blake Kramer
rounded out the top five in the Pro-am class.

In the morning classes, Sport 15+ class racer
Marshal Goings topped the podium, followed
by Super Senior racer, Dave Simmons in second,
while Traci Cecco claimed third overall and
took the Women’s class win.
UXC Racing’s Cliff Beasley remained
undefeated in the U2 class after wrapping
up his fourth win of the season.
Bryan Buckhannon took his third win of the
season in the 4x4 Open class and holds his
class points lead by six points.
4x4 Lites class racer Kevin Trantham was
on a roll and continued to dominate his class
with his fourth straight win.
In the UTV classes, the Polaris National
Guard team’s William Yokely took the
win in the XC1 Modified class, while team
Hendershot Performance claimed victory in
the XC2 Limited class.
Round number five of the 2012 GNCC series
will head to Park Mammoth Resort in Park City,
KY on April 28th, where the competition will
begin to heat up as an old golf course will
be the base for the new track racers will
try to conquer.
