Joining Kiser under the Yamaha / Ballance pro
tent is none other than #5 Walker Fowler. Last
season Fowler became the first racer in the
pro or pro-am ranks to have a perfect season
and stomped the competition in the pro-am XC2
class, winning the championship several rounds
                                  early.

“I can’t thank Bill Ballance
and Yamaha enough for taking a chance on me
and giving me an opportunity to prove myself
as a racer. Their support helped me to win
a perfect season last year, and step up to
the pro class this year. It’s really
a dream come true for me. I have been working
really hard so I can continue to do well for
the team. I know it’s going to be a
little tougher this season, but I really feel
                                    like I’m ready,” said Fowler,
who has said he would be happy with finishing
in the top five at season’s end.

Although Warnert Racing is no longer a part
of GNCC racing, Motoworks has stepped up to
the plate and expanded their efforts, taking
over the Can-Am backed team for 2012. Although
it has been cut back to a single pro racer
for 2012, they will have great representation
as #4 Chris Bithell will be racing for the
Can-Am/Motoworks team. Bithell has done well
with the team in the last couple of seasons
and has proved time and time again he has
the speed and talent to be a top contender
                                    for the podium.
Privateer, #6 Brian Wolf surprised everyone
in his rookie pro year last season after taking
home two overall pro wins and finishing fifth
in series points. Wolf has been working with
ATV racing legend, Tim Farr, down in Florida
during the off season.“Tim has been
putting some effort into my program helping
me with set up and things like that. I’m
hoping for more consistency this year and
hopefully a few more wins,” said Wolf.
Wolf has proved he has the speed to run with
the top guys and, with a little luck on his
side; he could be a regular threat for the
                                    podium.

McClure will be back aboard his Honda 450R
for the 2012 season. In 2011 McClure made
the switch back to the red manufacturer and
found his groove at the midway point of the
                                    season. McClure’s consistency helped
boost him into the number six spot in the
points chase and he will most certainly try
to better that position for 2012 as he will
be trying for a spot in the top three.

With Walker Fowler leaving the Pro-am class,
it opens up the championship race to the many
up and coming riders in the class. #11 Gabe
Phillips, who claimed many podium finishes
and ended his season with second in points
will be looking to take the championship this
                                    year. Phillips’ closest competitor,
#13 Eric Hoyland, who took third last season,
will be doing his best to make sure that he
is the one on top of the podium instead. It
will be a close battle between the two racers,
but anything could happen in the Pro-am class
as Aarol Bright and Patrick McGuire will be
stepping up their game for 2012 as well and
plan to finish on the podium as much as possible.
