Guard's #16 Jarrod McClure puts in another
solid run with a 6th place finish at Unadilla |
Yokely Racing’s Jarrod McClure got a
good start and was holding down second in the
first lap, but fell back to third when Chris
Borich made the pass on him. McClure then dropped
to fifth in the next lap and would eventually
finish in sixth place.
Bryan Cook was dead last at the end of the
first lap, but worked his way into eighth by
the second lap. Cook kept a steady pace and
would take seventh place at the finish line.
Ohio native Kevin Yoho was in the lead at the
end of the first lap, but with pressure from
Brian Wolf, and some difficulties out on the
course, Yoho would fall back to tenth in the
second lap. Yoho would only be able to work
back up to eighth before reaching the checkered
flag.
Jeff Pickens got off to a great start, and
was holding down third going into lap two, but
he would fall back to seventh and eventually
finish his day in ninth place.
Mark Notman hung on to round out the top ten
in the Pro class, while Donny Ockerman would
finish in eleventh and Johnny Gallagher would
run into issues in the final lap and finish
in twelfth.

Yamaha's
#7 Walker Fowler continues to dominate
the XC2 Pro-Am Class with his 9th straight
Win of the season along with his second
Overall ATV Win of the year, which has
never been done before by a Pro-Am ATV

Yamaha/Ballance Racing’s Walker Fowler
continued his dominance in the Pro-am class
as he took his class win by over ten minutes
ahead of his nearest competitor, and captured
the Overall Win ahead of Pro Class racer, Chris
Borich.
Nathan Thomas was looking strong as he took
a solid second to join Fowler on the Pro-am
podium and Patrick McGuire would finish out
his day in the number three spot in the Pro-am
class.
In the morning classes, UXC Racing’s
Cliff Beasley remained undefeated in the U2
class, while Bryan Buckhannon edged out Michael
Swift in the 4x4 Open class for the win and
Angel Atwell claimed top honors in the Women’s
class and third overall on the morning podium.
Master’s 50+ class racer Dave Simmons
took his class win and topped the morning podium,
while 16-19 C racer, Chad Jones finished in
second overall, his first podium finish of the
season.

Round number ten of the 2011 GNCC series will
head to Mountain Ridge in Somerset, PA on September
10th where Chris Borich will be going for the
win as he tried to extend his points lead even
further.
