Extreme Dirt Track Racing Amateur Report
::Continued::

JT Racing / MAXXIS / Chuckie Creech Racing / CEWO Hunt’s Andrea Creech was able to grab the early holeshot by a few bike lengths and head into the first tight corner with a good size lead.

#25 Andrea Creech took the holeshot in the Women's Class

From there Creech worked her way around the twisty track and fought off Shea’s advances for several laps. Unfortunately, Creech found herself getting boxed out late in the race with no room to advance her position before the final lap of the contest and settled for a respectable second place finish.

RATH / Elka / 100%’s Payden Hovey made the trek to Sioux Falls for this round as well, coming from Tacoma, Washington to test her skills against the EDT regulars. Hovey was able to keep up enough pace to stay ahead of Jessica Ryckman and Alyssa Noel for a third place spot on the podium. Goodman Racing’s Robyn Chepkauskas had been in third place but suffered from a stalled machine and couldn’t get it re-fired in time to present Hovey with a comeback charge. Ryckman finished the race in fourth with Noel in fifth, followed by Chepkauskas in sixth for round one.

The Production C class is always a wild ride to watch as there are usually quite a few entities, twelve on this occasion, and a lot of different skill levels to contend with.

Goodman Racing / CCR / FLY’s Robyn Chepkauskas did not have a great Women’s main event but she sure made up for it in the Production C main. Chepkauskas came off the line with a top 5 start and began to pick her way through the pack. After Chepkauskas passed her way around the other competitors, she secured the lead, but only moments before the checkered flag. With this race coming down to the wire, Chepkauskas was able to secure her first win of the EDT season, and her first win in this class.

H&H Extreme ATV / PEP / Rath’s Chris Jaegers had a good run under his belt as well trailing Chepkauskas on the podium in second spot. Jaegers came off the line in a good position and worked his way through the laps and stayed on pace to finish the race in a good spot.

TC Racing Engines / Hellbound / 100%’s Cole Stearns is sticking his neck out this year in the amateur ranks and is proving his worth as well as he was a front runner this weekend in South Dakota. Stearns also got a good start and kept his front tires pointed in the right direction and was able to come away with a third place podium finish despite actually taking the win in his heat earlier in the day.
