AMA Extreme Dirt Track
Pro ATV Race Report
::Continued::
One of the top attractions for the weekend was the
Open Pro 3-wheeler class that even brought out ATV
racing legend, #111 Jackie Meadows. “There’s
an Outlaw circuit that a lot of these guys race
in but it doesn’t get a lot of attention,
so it’s a really cool thing for them to be
able to come out here and race on a sanctioned track,”
said Meadows.

#111 Jackie
Meadows came out of retirement to race
a TPC Trike in the 3 Wheel Open Expert
Class & despite not riding a 3 wheeler
for years, Meadows raced as if he was
running events every week as he claimed
the win with ease

Meadows, who was the first ATV racer to ever get
factory backing in 80’s, admitted it was a
little challenging for him, despite his blistering
lap times that rivaled some of the 4-wheeled pro
class riders, and his dominating win. “It’s
been over 25 years since I have road a trike, so
it was a little crazy. I had to relearn how to ride
it,” said Meadows.
Bill Casey, owner of TPC Trikes, provided Meadows
with his ride for this race. “We gave Jackie
a practice trike and a fully built Hybrid 450R
to race and he was so impressive on it; even the
first time he road it. We’re really proud
to have Jackie ride for us in this race. He did
a great job and brought a lot of attention to
us and our sport,” said Casey.

Despite many requests to race more, Meadows insists
that this is his last time racing, but he will still
be attending events. “My son is in to racing
and wants to race, so I will be at the track,”
said Meadows.
Joining Meadows on the podium was Nick Lalanne in
second and Erik Dubb in third.
Round number six of the 2012 Extreme Dirt Track
series will head to Batavia Motor Speedway in Batavia,
NY on August 11th where the points battles will
heat up with only three rounds left in the season.
