Pell City, AL (3/13/2007) – The
opening round of the 2007 ITP/Moose ATVA Motocross Championship
presented by Parts Unlimited is in the record books, and
the series is off to a flying start. While perfect weather
and track conditions greeted the riders, some of the top
riders in the series didn't get off to such a perfect
start, which allowed Jeremy Lawson (Hon) to climb to the
overall win by virtue of solid 3-3 moto scores.

|
#16 Jeremy Lawson surprised everyone
as he charged his way through the pack and secured
his first ever Pro Win |
#12
Keith Little wasn't able to hold off Wienen &
Lawson in Moto Two, but he still held onto a 2nd
Place finish |

second and Chad Wienen (Hon) was third with 8-1 moto
scores.

|
#68 Russell Shumaker carried the
flag for Team Suzuki with his 5th Place finish,
which isn't bad for his Pro Debut. |
#13 John Natalie Jr was on the
gas in Moto One with the win, but engine issues
slowed him down in Moto 2 for a 4th Overall finish |
As for the pre-season favorites, defending ITP/Moose
ATVA MX Campion Joe Byrd (Hon) was leading the first
moto when he lost control and took an off-track excursion.
He lost almost a lap trying to restart his machine a#1nd
ultimately finished with 13-6 moto scores. Honda's John
Natalie won the first moto, but seized in the second
go around and finished ninth, which placed him fourth
overall.
