In Moto number two, it was DASA Racing’s Joe
Byrd who grabbed the Holeshot, followed by Pat Brown
and Josh Creamer. “Was battling with Pat and
then he had tire problems and dropped back,”
said Josh Creamer. “Then Dustin (Wimmer) and
I were battling and we kind of connected and he
ended up getting a flat,” Josh stated. In
lap five Jeremy Lawson, who had a mid pack start
caught up to Creamer and was able to slip by to
take over 2nd place once again.

Award with 1st Moto Holeshot winner, Dustin
Wimmer, bouncing off of Josh Creamer with
Dustin spinning sideways, which sent him
back several position with a flat tire |
“After Creamer and I connected, my left
front tire went flat. I kept going, but then on
the next lap, my right tire went flat also, so
I had to pull into the pits,” said Dustin
Wimmer. Despite Dustin’s 11th place finish,
he still claimed 5th overall and is maintaining
a healthy points lead with 235 points.

Houser Racing's Harold Goodman came on strong
in the 2nd Moto to secure a 5th place finish
by holding off Suzuki's Doug Gust and is
currently 6th place in points |
Josh Upperman was having a strong run in moto
two after tranny problems in the first moto. “In
the first moto my tranny was starting to go out
and Keith Little was creeping up on me so I had
to be careful and not make any mistakes then,
but in the 2nd moto I picked off a bunch of guys
on the first lap and then made a couple more passes
later on. After that, I held my position for the
rest of the race,” said Upperman, who crossed
the finish line in 4th place, which earned him
4th overall.
After Joe Byrd grabbed the Holeshot, the Honda
backed racer checked out on the rest of the pack
and crossed the finish line with an impressive
11-second lead and claimed the overall win. “I
got a good start and pulled a good lead,”
said Byrd who is currently sitting in 3rd in the
points race and hopes to continue closing in on
the number one spot. “I usually do well
at Unadilla, so I’m looking forward to the
next round,” said the defending champ.
