Super Mini & Youth All Star at Unadilla |
Thatcher must have found his grove, because when
the gate dropped for moto 2 of the 90 Shifter
(12-15) race, only five motos after Supermini,
he once again, pulled that holeshot, led all four
laps, and won with a huge gap between him and
second place runner, Korie Richmond. Lance walker
walked away with a second place finish, and Bryce
Ford with a third overall.

wins in both the 90 Open Jr. (8-11) &70
Shifter (6-11) classes at Unadilla MX |
When the gate dropped in 90 Open Jr on Sunday,
Aaron Salinas was on fire! He led the first three
laps, as Max Lindquist and Zack Decker battled
for the second position, very close behind. Just
before the checkers, Lindquist made a hard charge
to pass Salinas, giving Lindquist the overall.
Salinas finished in second, and Decker in third.
Max Lindquist has 90 Open Jr locked up for the
championship, as well as the 70 Shifter class,
and he is leading the points in 90 Shifter (8-11).

Aaron Salinas finished in the 2nd spot in
90 Open Jr (8-11) Class |
On Saturday, Max Lindquist lead all four laps
in 70 Shifter, finishing lap four with a near
twenty second gap between him and the second place
of Zack Decker! In moto 2 on Sunday, Decker made
it a little more difficult on Lindquist. Decker
led the first lap, but by the second lap, Lindquist
was in the lead, however, Decker never let him
get too far ahead. Max Lindquist won moto two
by less than a half a second, giving him the overall
win, wtih Zack Decker in second, and Mason Jackson
in third.

Zack
Decker claimed four top three overall finishes
at Unadilla & won the overall in the
70 Open (6-11) class |
Dareck Grahm Jr. attended his first national
race this year, and one of the classes that he
raced in was 50 Open. Not only did Grahm lead
all four laps in moto one, but also all four laps
in moto two, giving him the overall win! There
have only been a handful of riders in this class
who have attended and raced every round. Ramon
Smikowski is one of those riders, and with only
one victory this year, he is the current points
leader.
Next up is RedBud MX, one of the most anticipated
races of the year. Some championships will be
won here and some will be lost. The track is known
for being brutally rough, big jumps, and lots
of challenges. With the season winding down, there’s
bound to be some great racing and awesome battles
at this legendary track!
