Chad Wienen Perfect at Red Bud for ATV Motocross Pro Win
::Continued::

Motosport.com’s John Natalie notched 5-4 finishes at the round. He had an intense battle during moto one with Josh Upperman. The two were wheel to wheel for much of the twelve lap race. Natalie never let him by and maintained the fifth spot until the checkers; the Honda duo only had one second between them at the finish.

“I had an awesome time; the battles with Uppy were fun and I really enjoyed myself. The #13 Honda was working great and it was an overall good day,” regarded Natalie after the race.

The Ironman had a great start in moto two and found his groove in the fourth position as the pack went around the track. He fell to fifth for three laps, but took back fourth on lap eight. Natalie spent the last two laps in another heated battle with Upperman, but was able to cross the finish in fourth.

Can-Am’s Josh Creamer rounded out the top five at the round. Creamer went 4-7 on his BCS machine. Creamer had a great start on moto one and quickly fell into the second position. He remained in second until lap ten, when he moved back into third. He dropped to fourth on lap eleven; despite putting on a hard charge, he was unable to take back the third spot and finished in fourth. Moto two didn’t go so well; he got bumped on the start and had to work his way up from twelfth. He managed to take over seventh on lap ten and finish out the moto there.

“The track was rough and my Can-Am was working well; I just couldn’t find my groove,” said Creamer.

Josh Upperman earned a sixth place finish on his PEP Honda; he scored 6-5 for the round. Nick DeNoble and Jeff Rastrelli battled to finish seventh and eighth respectively. Tyler Hamrick and Joe Byrd rounded out the top ten at the round.

Nickolas Moser took his first win in the Pro-Am class aboard his Honda. He was followed by JB Racing’s Jeff Rastrelli and Tyler Hamrick. Moser scored 3-1; Rastrelli went 1-3 and Hamrick finished 1-4 in their respected heats and moto.

The final round of the AMA Mtn. Dew ATV MX National Championship Series will be held at the famous Loretta Lynn’s in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Although the AMA Pro Champion has already been crowned, the racing excitement will be high as Wienen looks to extend his consecutive win record and several tight points battles remain in the pro class.
