Round 7 - Sunday Creek - Amateur Race Report
::Continued::

#30
Travis Spader & #12 Merrill Crose battled
in sereral classes aboard their Can-Am DS450
Sport ATVs |
Travis Spader and Merrill Crose continue to put
on a show at every round as the pair duke it out
in several classes as they battle for the win. The
competition is usually so close and the battle so
fun to watch that it shows from the fans cheering
to the announcers increased fervor and excitement
level. Spader is not shy when he exclaims from the
podium that using his Can AM and their contingency
program works as he should be stockpiling a tidy
sum of cash by years end. Merrill Crose as well,
the two are proving that you can indeed make racing
work for you if you can get your program and skill
level where it needs to be to vie for winning some
of that Can-Am X team cash!

125 Chloe Cuerstter leads #14 Adrienne Cooper
& #83 Katie Mette |
Adrienne Cooper,
Katie Mette and Chloe Buerster would find themselves
locked in another battle in the women's class
as the trio mixed it up in both motos. Cooper
and Buerster would both take wins with the overall
going to Cooper. Mette would claim the final podium
spot by her two third place finishes. The Women's
class has become another class where there is
no guarantee as the battle for the win is earned
and doesn't come easy!
There was so much good close racing in the youth
ranks that singling out any one class is hard
enough to try and highlight. One did stand out
however and that was the incredibly intense battle
in 90 Modified (12-15). Cole Sepesi and Tyler
Mack flat battled each other to the checkered
flag and then some! Moto two had fans cheering
and screaming as the pair put on one of the best
and closest races of the entire weekend.
|
Cole
Sepesi & Tyler Mack went head-to-head
in both the 90 Modified & Super Mini
Youth ATV Classes |
Moto one had Sepesi claiming the win with Mack taking
second and it would come down to moto two and literally
who would want it more. The pair was bar to bar
several times as Mack tried to gain an advantage
on Sepesi as Sepesi always answered back with just
enough to fend off the onslaught Mack was bringing.
The score was settled in the last stretch of track
leading to the finish line as Mack made a bonsai
run at Sepesi through the rhythm section and would
steal the win by inches giving him the overall victory.
The entire focus of ATV motocross racing was right
there in that last hundred yards, and these two
youth racers did our entire sport proud with their
incredible display of skill and hunger for victory!
Those infamous words "The thrill of victory
and the agony of defeat" played out in real
time for those in attendance in a blink of an eye!
The 2012 AMA ATV Motocross Championship heads to
