AMA Pro ATV Motocross
- Round 3 - Budds Creek - Race Report
::Continued::
In the second moto, Natalie was looking for redemption
and that is exactly what he got. Natalie charged
off the line in the top five and immediately started
gunning for the front. “The first moto didn’t
go how I wanted, so I had something to prove in
the second moto,” said Natalie.

Can-Am's #1 John Natalie claimed his first
Moto win of the season in Moto 2, which
earned him the 3rd spot on the Podium |
Natalie kept the hammer down and closed in on the
leaders. By the sixth lap, Natalie had moved into
second place and was closing in on Wienen. Natalie
didn’t have to wait long to take over the
lead as Wienen experienced issues and slowed down,
giving Natalie the opportunity he was looking for.
Once out front, Natalie seemed to cruise to an easy
win, which allowed him to take the final spot on
the pro podium.
“It was a tough race but it was exciting
and it was a lot of fun out there. Once we got
up to the top three I just put my head down and
kept charging forward. It was a great track and
I am thankful to everyone who helped me get to
the podium today,” said Natalie.

Racing's #84 Thomas Brown continues to be
a force in the Pro class with an impressive
4th place overall finish at Budds Creek
as Brown has him 5th in points |
Yamaha / Ballance Racing’s Thomas Brown
was looking sharp after making quick work of Jeffrey
Rastrelli and moving into striking position for
the podium. Brown stayed close to third place,
Josh Upperman and made several attempts for his
position, but was shut down each time. Brown was
undeterred and stayed close for the entire moto,
but could not pressure Upperman into making a
mistake and settled for a fourth place finish.
Brown was on a mission in the second moto and
after a good start in the number six spot. Brown
kept the hammer down and charged his way up to
fourth place. Brown saw that Wienen was having
issues and slowing down and gave it his all as
he closed in and took over the number three spot.
Once in third, Brown was unchallenged and was
able to cruise to the checkered flag. Brown’s
4-3 finishes gave him fourth place overall for
the day.
