AMA ATV MX Nationals
- Amateur ATV Season Points Race Update
::Continued::
With many of the classes still not secured it
appears that the Production classes are pretty
much locked in by their points leaders. Production
A has a bit of a role reversal with Tyler Hamrick
in control over Dalton Millican in this contest.
With Hamrick locking this one up Millican took
the weekend off in Unadilla and tried his hand
in the Pro-Am Unlimited class for the first time.
Millican finished ninth overall in his Pro-Am
debut with an eighth and an eleventh place finish.

Bryan
Vollmer has claimed three wins this season
which puts him on top in the Production
B class in the points race |
Production B leader Bryan Vollmer should have the
season wrapped up but after a small tangle on the
track at Unadilla, Vollmer limped around the track
taking a fifth place finish securing points. Unless
Vollmer is out for the season he should still be
able to hold the lead for this class and take home
his championship. Finally in Production C Class
Joey Wimsatt has shaken out the early season jitters
and taken the last five rounds with wins over 450
C class leader Ries Parvin.

|
Ries
Parvin currently sits second in the Production
C with two wins this season |
With
seven wins in the College 16-24 class Tyler
Hamrick has also locked up the win |
Once Again Tyler Hamrick has locked up College
16-24 with seven wins already in the bag and a
seventy point lead he can set it on cruise control.
One of the last classes in the amateur ranks outside
the youth divisions is Vet 30 C. Travis Blair
is the clear cut points leader, however Blair
has only made 6 races so far this season. Travis
will have to attend the last two rounds to reach
his 8 race minimum. With that in mind, there are
no other racers in the class that have made six
rounds in that class so far this season. Travis
just needs to make those last two rounds.
The above mentioned classes are the only ones
I felt comfortable enough calling out an early
winner without breaking out the calculator and
getting into serious math. This means that with
Red Bud and Loretta Lynn’s still ahead on
the schedule, there could be a lot of upsets in
the making in some of the other classes. I am
writing this article from the 100 degree heat
of Hurricane Mills, TN, and I am going to let
you in on a little secret. They are making some
really cool changes to the track and bringing
in truckload after truckload of sand and dirt.
