AMA ATV Motocross Nationals
- Youth Mid Season Race Report
::Continued::
|
Maci Devenport currently holds down the
number one spot in the Girls (8-11) Class
points with 168 points |
Girls (8-11) has two riders out front in comfortable
fashion. Maci Devenport is currently holding the
lead and seems to win as long as her quad holds
up for both days of racing. Samantha Bronson is
in second, and if all things went her way she could
possibly gain the points lead. However, Devenport
is not giving up with out a fight.
In the 90 Modified (8-15) class Sam Covil currently
holds down first position in the points. Fellow
racer Brett Musick is close behind as Musick is
four points behind Covil. Covil has five wins
this season and Musick only has two wins. The
difference is Musick has five second place finishes
and Covil does not fair as well when he does not
win. Musick has to increase his wins to take away
the class championship, so it is in the hands
of Covil to keep the number one spot or give away.

#55
Cole Medlin & Sam Rowe are tied for
first position in the Schoolboy Jr (13-15)
Class with 172 Points each |
Super Mini (13-15) is the Factory Sam Show. Sam
Rowe from Wisconsin has taken six wins this season
so far and has no plans on letting go of this class
for the championship. Rowe has a few championships
under his belt in previous years and although he
has wrapped up the Super Mini's, he is in a heated
battle in Schoolboy Jr (13-15) division with Cole
Medlin. The riders are tied in points for the lead,
however Medlin has more wins to his favor. The biggest
dilemma this presents is that Medlin and Rowe are
best friends. One of them will have to take ribbing
from his friend for at least a year when they take
second in this class for the 2011 season. The Schoolboy
Sr (14-17) class is pretty muched locked up already
by Cole Medlin. He has 5 Wins in the class and should
cruise to a win for the season.
There are a few Youth ATV Riders to keep an eye
on this season and we hit the down stretch. I
with all the heated competition, it should be
interesting to see how the classes play out! Stay
with ATVriders.com with race coverage after every
AMA ATV MX Race weekend and see who comes out
on top!
