Can-Am's
Chad Wienen leading the charge with Josh
Creamer & Dustin Wimmer hot on his heels
after Wienen charged his way into the lead
in lap seven |
Can-Am Motoworks’ Chad Wienen, who had looked
strong in practice, came off the line in the top
five and soon began to charge hard. Wienen picked
off the competition one by one and at the midway
point, he took over the lead from Josh Creamer.
Once out front, Wienen pulled away from the rest
of the pack and seemed to cruise his way to his
second win of the season, which secured Wienen a
top three finish in the points race as he edged
out both Upperman and Natalie.
“It feels really great to take another win.
This was a real milestone for me. I wanted to get
a good start and I came out in the top five. From
there I just kept my head down and tried to ride
smart and fast. I was behind Josh (Creamer) and
then he made a mistake and I was able to get out
front. I felt great out there and the track suited
me well so I am really happy with how everything
went today,” stated Wienen.

Monster
Energy's Chad Wienen has unleashed his
inner monster the past two rounds as he
finishes out the 2010 season on top with
two straight wins & Wienen claims
his 3rd Win at Loretta's over the past
four years

Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Dustin Wimmer
got off to a sixth place start, but made a hard
charge to claim a solid second place on the podium.
Wimmer came on strong and worked his way into
position, getting around Thomas Brown and Josh
Upperman with ease. Wimmer worked his way into
second, and was able to hold off Jeremy Lawson
to take the number two spot on the podium.

#1
Dustin Wimmer recorded the fastest laptime
of the race with a 02:04.431 as he charged
his way to a 2nd place finish by making
the pass on Josh Creamer to finish out
the season on the Podium in 2nd place
& 2nd Overall in the points race,
but plans for 2011 are up in the air with
Wimmer's contract expiring & the Suzuki
LTR450 haven't been on showroom floors
over the past several months due to EPA
issues, this may be last season for the
Rockstar / Makita / Suzuki team, but only
time will tell & we can only hope
this powerhouse team will be back again
for 2011 to defend their 3rd straight
title

“It was tough out there today, but I made
it to the podium and that’s what counts,”
stated Wimmer.

Walsh
Racecraft's Jeremy Lawson finishes back
on the Podium |
Walsh Race Craft’s Jeremy Lawson looked like
he was in top form during Saturday’s practice
and he carried that over to Sunday’s main
event as he charged off the line in mid-pack and
worked his way into the number three spot before
crossing the finish line.
“I felt like my old self again out there
today and I’m glad to be back on the podium.
I’m hoping that this is just the beginning
and that next season I’ll start off this
way,” said Lawson.
