Dustin Wimmer also mounted an impressive
charge in Moto 1 as he charged his way through
the pack to pass #13 John Natalie on the
final uphill to the checkered to take claim
the third spot |
Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Dustin Wimmer was
also caught in the first turn traffic and was in
12th off the start. Wimmer would put his head down
and work through traffic, picking off the competition
one by one as he charged his way into the top five.
From there, Wimmer would battle it out with John
Natalie before taking over the number three spot
just before crossing the finish line, but unfortunately
for Wimmer, he would take a huge rock to the knee,
which would impact his performance in moto two.
“It was more like a boulder and it hit
me right in the knee cap, but I fought hard,”
said Wimmer. In moto two, Wimmer got off to a
slower start but picked up the pace and worked
his way into the number two position after battling
with Thomas Brown. Wimmer would take over second
in the final few laps and take a second place
finish, giving him the number two spot on the
podium. “I got off to a slower start but
was able to make up several spots and I was able
to finish on the podium,” stated Wimmer.

Suzuki's
Dustin Wimmer once again got off to a
bad start in Moto 2, but he didn't waste
any time to charge through the pack an
into the third spot by lap three with
#44 Chad Wienen & #10 Greg Gee in
chase. Wimmer would go on to challenge
& pass Yamaha's Thomas Brown in the
final laps to claim the 2nd spot Overall

Thomas Brown & #13 John Natalie battled
most of Moto 1 with Brown claiming the 2nd
spot |
Yamaha’s Thomas Brown who has come on strong
in the last couple of rounds was looking more than
impressive as he shot off the line in third place
in the first moto behind Josh Upperman and John
Natalie. Brown would stay close to John Natalie
and pressured the veteran racer for most of the
moto before getting by him in lap nine and pulling
away. Brown would go on to take a solid second place
in moto one.
In moto two, brown charged off the line and was
in second place behind Cody Gibson, who had grabbed
the moto two holeshot. Brown would quickly take
over the lead and hold his position for a couple
of laps before Josh Creamer would come calling,
and Brown would fall back. Brown held down second
for several laps before giving in to pressure from
Dustin Wimmer, but Brown’s solid 2-3- finishes
would put him on the podium in third.

In
Moto 2, Thomas Brown was once again in the
battle for the lead, but this time it was
with #9 Josh Creamer, but in the end, Brown
would claim the 3rd spot & third Overall
for another Podium finish for Yamaha |
“I came out strong in both motos and I
was able to hold it together and take two solid
finishes. I’m really glad to be able to
finish on the podium again,” said Brown.
