Buchanan,
MI (8/2/2009) –
Big crowds were on hand at Red Bud to cheer
Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Dustin Wimmer all
the way to the checkers as he went for another amazing
1-1 to take the Pro ATV overall and increase his
points lead to 45 points at round ten of the AMA
ATV Motocross Championship Series.
The action was fast and furious as Wimmer was
third off the line behind Josh Creamer and Harold
Goodman in the first moto, but Wimmer quickly
got around Goodman and began pressuring Creamer
for the lead. At the halfway point, Wimmer would
take the lead and put a couple second gap between
him and Creamer and take the moto one win.

In moto two, Dustin Wimmer came of the line in second
behind Harold Goodman and soon made the pass to
take the lead. Wimmer began to pull away, and fend
off Honda’s Joe Byrd and Kawasaki’s
Josh Creamer to take the moto win and the overall.
“It feels really good to be on the podium
again. My Rockstar Makita Suzuki came off the line
good and I was able to get it done,” said
Wimmer. Kawasaki Monster Energy’s Josh
Creamer flew off the line in the first moto to
take the holeshot. Creamer would lead for several
laps before Wimmer would take over the lead, leaving
him in second. Creamer was in third off the line
in moto two, but made his way around Harold Goodman
to take second, but a fierce battle began to brew
between Creamer and Joe Byrd, with Byrd recording
the fastest laptime of the moto in lap five with
a 02:12.522 as he attempted to make the pass on
Creamer, and by lap seven Byrd took over the second
spot.
