Milford, CA (9/17/2013)
- Located an hour north of Reno, Nev., the 1 ½-hour WORCS race was brutal on both ATVs and riders alike, with rocky terrain accounting for numerous DNFs among the various classes.
Nelson got a fifth-place start and worked hard to make passes on a course offering but a single quick line. It took him four laps to get into fourth place, but after that the race started to go his way when the second-place rider slowed after landing on a rock.

Now in third, Nelson kept the pressure on and was rewarded on the next-to-last lap, when leader Davi Haagsma and second-place Beau Baron both had flats. Baron was the first to get into the pits, managing to return to the track ahead of Nelson to snag the win, with Haagsma coming in third. “The durability of the YFZ450R really helped us get to the finish and hold onto second today,” Nelson said.
