The new race rig is quite a showstopper. It is a double-decker trailer that is adorned in traditional Yamaha colors and features the names of the entire Yamaha ATV race team on the sides. “I’m super excited about this, it’s a dream come true and will really help pull things together as a team,” stated Pat Brown in regards to having a full factory support rig. The truck will mainly be used at the National MX races to support racers Pat Brown and newest addition to the Yamaha team, Pro-am racer Thomas Brown. The truck may also make appearances at the GNCC and other select events that the Yamaha team will be participating in throughout the season.

Yamaha is hoping to not only see Pat Brown in the running for a championship this year, but they are also counting on newcomer Thomas Brown to give it his all and bring in the Pro-Am championship as well. Last year Thomas ran Pro-am in the WPSA series and took 4th overall in the points race with his consistent style. “I’m looking forward to racing with Tom this year, he’s a really good rider and hopefully all the support will help him win the Pro-am championship,” said Pat in regards to his new teammate. Paul Turner will be continuing his roll as Yamaha’s lead mechanic this year and will be based out of the new race rig supporting Pat Brown for the 2008 race season. “This is a great opportunity for Pat and the rest of the Yamaha team to step up the program,” Turner stated. “When I first started in the industry we had no factory support what so ever, and now we have full factory support. I’m really proud to be working with Yamaha,” he concluded.

“Having Paul involved has been crucial in my program. Paul gives 110% all the time and it’s really great to have someone that dedicated to work with,” Said Pat. “I really have to thank Yamaha for stepping up this year and putting all this effort behind me. I think this is going to be a great season!” he said excitedly.

Yamaha, like several other manufacturers, has seen the increased level of competition for the 2008 season and will continuously put forth efforts to increase their support of their racers. The new team support rig is just one example of this support and is a step forward in Yamaha’s determination to be a top competitor in the future of ATV racing.
