WPSA Racing Increases Amatuer & Youth ATV
Practice Times
2008 WPSA Powersports ATV Tour
Racing News
White Bear Lake, MN (1/14/2008) - Upon
advisement of the WPSA’s Amateur Advisory
Board, the PowerSports ATV Tour will increase
the amount of practice time offered to amateur
and youth riders during their 2008 season. “This
is one of the first issues we approached after
receiving input from our Amateur Advisory Board,”
Kent Lungstrom, Vice President of PowerSports
Entertainment said. “It became very clear
that the amateur and youth riders felt that we
weren’t allowing them enough practice time
on Friday. We sensed an immediate need to approach
this issue and have implemented positive changes
which we feel will provide the riders with a satisfactory
amount of practice time.”
“We are moving Pro practice to Saturday
morning. Our plan is to also finalize cabling
for TV earlier. By doing these two things, this
allows us to focus more time on Friday’s
to amateur and youth practice. We would like to
impress upon the amateur and youth riders that
signing up earlier for practice will allow us
to schedule the day to maximize seat time for
them,” Lungstroum concluded.
