White Bear Lake, MN (3/10/2007)
- DWT (formerly Douglas Wheel) renewed its
sponsorship of the WPSA PowerSports ATV Tour's QuadTerrain
Challenge Series. DWT will again back the QTC's grueling
rock crawl and log jam sections during the 2007 season,
underscoring its commitment to the ATV utility market.
Additionally, DWT becomes official race wheel of
Team Kawasaki's WPSA racing teams. With valuable television
and record prize monies drawing the top competitors
in professional ATV racing, Kawasaki joins Suzuki,
Yamaha, Arctic Cat and BRP in fielding factory teams.
"We're excited to be return to the PowerSports
ATV Tour family," said DWT president and company
founder, Doug Henline. "The QuadTerrain Challenge
Class is a perfect venue to showcase our new 'LiteCast'
cast aluminum wheel line and Performance BeadLock
system—and the racers can't wait to use them
on the tracks. "
Throughout its rich history, Douglas Wheel has been
evolving for the future; expanding its design, engineering
and manufacturing resources. In 2006, the company
modernized its name to DWT. The new iconic brand logo,
carries DNA from its previous identity and the acronym
brings the brand's lineage and commitment to "technology"
to the fore.
"We are delighted DWT has returned to the PowerSports
ATV Tour," said PowerSports Entertainment, Inc.
CEO Rick Murphy. "DWT's advanced wheel technology
will definitely raise the level of competition in
QuadTerrain Challenge."
