Petersburg, VA (6/29/2007) - Dustin Wimmer and Jesse West set the fastest time in their respective Pro classes, qualifying first for Sunday's first of two finals, part of the GBC National. The event is the sixth on the 2007 WPSA PowerSports ATV Tour.

Wimmer, who currently leads the points in the SuperQuad Pro 450 Class, swept qualifying, winning both of his heats aboard the No. 191 MSR, Pro Taper, Yoshimura/Suzuki. Wimmer's teammate Chad Wienen (No. 44 Team Rockstart, MSR, Pro Taper, Yoshimura/Suzuki) is second on the grid, ahead of John Natalie, Jr. (No. 13 Elka, Maxxis/Honda).

#191 Dustin Wimmer & #13 John Natalie faced off for the 2nd Heat after each claimed Wins in the first Round of Heat Races with Wimmer winning the battle over Natalie in a tight race from start to finish
#44 Chad Wienen rebounded from a near dead last start in Heat One to finish in the runnersup spot, but in Heat Two, Wienen jumped out front early and pulled a huge lead over teammate #55 Doug Gust

West (No. 888 West Racing/Arctic Cat), who sits second in QuadTerrain Pro Stock points, won his second heat and finished second in his first heat to net the top spot. Chris Borich (No. 2 Warnert Racing/Can-Am) and Josh West (No. 788 West Racing/Arctic Cat) complete the top three.

The GBC Virginia National continues tomorrow with Amateur, Junior and Women's Class racing, as well as Pro qualifying. Sunday's racing card features two full Pro shows.

This weekend's events will be telecast on ESPN2 on Saturday, Aug. 18 at noon EDT, and again on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m. EDT.
