London, KY (6/16/2007) - John Natalie,
Jr. scored his second top SuperQuad Pro 450 qualifying
position in as many days Saturday during the WPSA PowerSports
ATV Tour Blue Ridge Open Championship at Daniel Boone
Motocross Park. The event puts Natalie at the front
of the field for the two finals tomorrow, scheduled
as part of the double championship weekend.
Natalie (No. 13 Maxxis, Elka/Honda) had his hands full
during his heats, just holding off Chad Wienen (No.
44 Team Rockstar, MSR, Pro Taper, Yoshimura/Suzuki)
and Harold Goodman (No. 708 Lost Creek Cycles/Honda)
to take the honors. Josh Creamer, for the second consecutive
day, placed his No. 9 Monster Energy Kawasaki in the
second slot. Dustin Wimmer (No. 191 MSR, Pro Taper,
Yoshimura/Suzuki) recovered from mechanical problems
yesterday to nab the third spot.

"I got around Goodman early, and Wienen and I
fought later," said Natalie. "I just ran a
smart race. I used my head, picked the right line and
kept him behind me."
Natalie had even more to celebrate later in the day
as his wife, Michelle, who also competes in WPSA's Women
A Class, finished as the second runner-up in the Miss
Hawaiian Tropic contest.
"She went up there and did really well,"
said Natalie. "I had a great day, too. So you really
couldn't ask for anything more."
Natalie wants to add to his record here. Natalie remains
undefeated in WPSA competition at Daniel Boone Motocross
Park.
"I'm going to try to carry my momentum into tomorrow,"
said Natalie. "I'm looking to go six for six on
the weekend."
