Sunny Weather Returns to Cooperland Raceway
as Powersports ATV Tour Readies for Round 3
Stillwater, OK (6/1/2007) - Though rain
has dominated the recent forecast for the Stillwater area,
the WPSA PowerSports ATV Tour operations staff is busy
preparing Cooperland Raceway for this weekend's Southwestern
National.
The event, Round 3 of the 2007 Tour, kicks off on Saturday
with a full day of Pro qualifying and Amateur Racing.
The event concludes Sunday with Pro finals scheduled
for 2:30 p.m. The race will be telecast on ESPN2 on
Saturday, July 7 at noon EDT.
"Mother nature has finally rewarded us with sun
and breezy conditions which are perfect for drying the
track and the pit area," said PowerSports ATV Tour
Director Tes Sewell. "We're working diligently
on the track today, and we expect to put on a world-class
event here this weekend."
This weekend's race, which was slated as a double header,
was re-scheduled to run as a single event due to rainy
conditions during the last several weeks. A revised
schedule of events is available on the Cooperland event
page at www.PowerSportsTour.com.
