-TPQ here with the latest scoop on the 2014 WORCS Racing Series as we get ready for opening round at Honolulu Hills in Taft, California.
It only took me 2 hours and two oxygen tanks to complete a walk around the 7.3 Miles course that make up Rnd 1. There is 505' of elevation change over the entire course. This course will only share a few of the same sections as in years past so its a fun ride at that. Don't worry the 140' step up jump is in the course if you want to go big.
Weather for this weekends round brought to you by DWT Tires will range from a low of 37 at night to a high right around 70 degrees which should make for perfect weather.
Practice will start at 9am Friday for the motocross and Unclassified events will begin at 1:30. Remember that we will have short days at the first two rounds so the schedule will free up a bit at Rnd 3. First event Saturday will start at 8am for the site laps. CLICK HERE FOR THE WEEKEND SCHEDULE

There are some left over reminders that cover high points of the 2014 program below:
- 7 of the 9 rounds count towards Amateur championships
- 8 of the 9 rounds count towards Pro Am, Pro 2 and Pro 2 Lights championships
- 9 of the 9 rounds count towards all Pro Championships.
- WORCS kids will be handled by Casey Walrath for the 5th year and we are lucky to have her.
- All Pro classes will race a bonus round for money only Saturday night at Rnd 7 as WORCS Cross returns in front of the crowd.
- The TBA round 5 is now filled with Ridgecrest Fairgrounds in Ridgecrest, Ca. This is a fun venue that will be exciting.
- I am updating the WORCS web site. I am integrating it back into one site. One site will offer everything to you. We are one program and one family, hence one site.
- Youth SXS classes have been added with a 200cc limit. They will race after the Pro ATV race just before the SXS Ultimate Moto Race.
- SXS will have one more race class in the weekend call SXS Ulitmate Moto on Sunday after the Youth SXS Race. This will be for a completely new championship. It will be the same class structure in a single moto format of 5-7 laps. On the motorcross track only.
- This may be the last time we can ever go to Crazy Horse in Lake Havasu. Their state property lease is up so we want to make this one incredible.
- Buffalo Bills will get a whole new motocross area. It will be old school style that is fun and flowing.
- Rnd 4 at Sand Hollow State Park. The BLM has granted us permission to groom the track flat. Secondly we have 3 separate courses for the classes this next year. This will allow for smooth courses so we can enjoy the views.
- Pro payouts will be $1000 for 1st, $600 for 2nd and $400 for 3rd.
- Women's Pro will be $500 plus 100% payback
