Warnert Racing’s
Chris Borich Claims Win in QTC Debut Race
Stillwater, OK (6/11/2007) - Warnert
Racing’s Can-Am Team claims yet another WPSA Quadterrian
Pro Stock Class Win at Round Three with GNCC Pro Racer,
Chris Borich, carrying the team to victory.
For the first time this season, the WPSA & GNCC
races didn’t overlap, which opened the door for
both GNCC Pro Racers #2 Chris Borich & #6 Chris
Bithell to make their Quadterrain Challenge debut at
Cooperland with the CanAm Warnert Racing Team, and they
quickly made their presence known amongst the other
competitors with each claiming a win.
For Borich, his first ever Quadterrain win came in
the Main Event where he cleaned house. Borich jumped
out front to claim the Rock’N’Roll Award
after an intense early battle for the lead with Arctic
Cat’s Rory Beckman. The pair would bounce off
of each other on several occasions and had the bent
up bumpers to prove it, but in the end, Borich was able
to use his years of ATV racing experience to outrun
Beckman and secure the win and the Biggest Mover Award
on top of it.

Chris Borich went home on a high note with an impressive
tally of $3,500 in prize money, but weekend didn’t
start out as well. Upon arriving to Oklahoma, Borich’s
dad, Joe, was sent to the hospital to have his appendix
removed after experiencing intense lower abdominal pain.
Fortunately, the appendix was removed before it burst,
and Joe’s surgery was a success, and he returned
to the track on Sunday to watch his son win his first
Quadterrain challenge event, which had him smiling ear
to ear.
As for Chris Bithell, he came out the gate in his first
heat with a third place finish, and he followed up with
a win in the second heat. In the main, he was well on
his way to another Podium finish when he picked the
wrong line through the rocks and found himself stuck,
which dropped him back to the rear of the pack. Bithell
was able to charge his way back to a 10th place finish,
and he is hooked. After testing the rocks, mud, and
logs this weekend, he plans on attending all the remaining
events with Chris Borich that don’t conflict with
the GNCC races.
Scott Kilby held the WPSA QuadTerrain Pro Stock Points
lead heading into Round 3, but a series of bad luck
this weekend kept him for retaining his position out
front, but he plans to be back stronger than ever at
the next round of racing.
With heavy rains leading up the Oklahoma race, the
double header weekend was postponed to London, Kentucky,
so Daniel Boone will host Rounds 4 & 5 of the WPSA
Series on June 16-17th.
