Warnert
Racing’s Frederick, Cecco, and Beckman shine
at Endurocross
St. Cloud, MN (10/23/2007) - The
Can-Am War nert race team has had a successful 2007
season with it’s team members claiming four
out of the top ten spots in the WPSA’s Quadterrain
Pro Stock class at the end of the season. The team
also had an imposing presence at the first ever
Maxxis ATV Endurocross that was held in Guthrie,
OK on October 7, 2007. The Can-Am Warnert team buried
the competition off the line and its riders went
on to claim some of the fastest lap times recorded
at the event. The grueling track set up was filled
with big, slick rocks, water pits, log obstacles,
mud…and did we mention, big rocks? The track
was enough to push the limits of any rider and
any machine to the breaking point and in some
cases, it did.

WORCS series pro, Josh Frederick, traded in his
Can-Am DS450 for an Outlander 650 for this race
and dominated most of the first heat and took
the holeshot in the main event. Josh was leading
until the big rock section got the best of him
and caused his drive shaft to break. One of the
more fortunate racers at the event was the newest
Can-Am Warnert team member, Rory Beckman, who
has already made a good impression with his racing
skills by winning the second heat at the Endurocross
and taking sixth place overall in the Utility
expert class. Beckman will not only be racing
for the Can-Am Warnert ATV team in 2008, he will
also be doing some wrenching for Steve Martin
and the WPSA Snocross team for the up-coming Snocross
season.
Fellow Utility class teammate Rick Cecco came
on strong as well, taking fourth place at Endurocross.
Cecco has really stood out this year by clenching
the GNCC 4x4 Open class championship. Cecco made
the podium an impressive eight times, with five
of those being in the number one position, and
the other three in second place. Cecco’s
fourth place finish at the Maxxis Endurocross
only confirms that he has a very promising future
and is definitely an asset to the team.
The Maxxis ATV Endurocross certainly put the
Can-Am Warnert team and their machines to the
test, but it also proved that they are a force
to be reckoned with on the track and are, without
a doubt, in the running to be taking home a championship
in the 2008 season
