Warnert Racing's John Natalie Has Impressive Speed At Mill Creek
Warnert Racing's AMA ATV Motocross - Round 2 Race Report

John Natalie AMA Round 2 roost

#13 John Natalie finished 7th overall for the weekend and looking for a podium at round 3

Pell City, AL (4/2/2009) - Round two of the AMA ATV Motocross Championship series was full of thrills and spills.

John Natalie was lucky to avoid a huge crash as racers left the line in the first moto as he negotiated his way past the carnage to take 6th in the holeshot and begin his charge to the front. Natalie made a hard charge and worked his way to an impressive second place by mid-moto before experiencing issues, which dropped him out of podium contingency.

Despite the increased level of competition this year, it was obvious that Natalie has been training extra hard as he came from a mid pack start in moto two, and worked his way to seventh by the end of the first lap. Natalie put his head down and got right to work picking off the competition. Natalie worked his way into fourth place and began to challenge Josh Upperman for third place. Natalie got that chance in the final lap, taking over third before the checkered flag to secure seventh overall for the weekend.

“My Can-am is dialed in and was working great this weekend. It seems faster every round. I can’t wait for Bowling Green because I plan on being on the podium,” stated Natalie, who suffered a nasty eye injury at round three last year.

Cody Miller AMA Round 2 Corner

#22 Cody Miller got a bit banged up at Steel Creek, but will be all ready to go for Ballance MX

Unfortunately for Cody Miller, he was caught up in the horrific crash off the start in moto one, which sent him tumbling and eventually run over by another racer in the chaos, which left him battered and bruised. Fortunately, Miller wasn’t seriously injured, but he was far from one hundred percent. Afterwards, Miller cruised through the weekend to secure some points in hopes of better luck at Ballance Moto X in two weeks.

“I’m a little sore right now, but I should be feeling good by then and I’ll be ready for round three,” said Miller positively.

Round number three of the AMA ATV Motocross Championship will have the Can-am Warnert Racing team heading for Ballance MotoX in Bowling Green, KY on April 5th where Natalie will be racing for the win and try to break into the top five in the points race.
