Brea, CA (5/18/2009) - Rockstar
Makita Suzuki Racing’s Chris Borich
picked up his fourth victory of the 2009 Can-Am
GNCC season at the Mountain Ridge race in
Somerset, Pennsylvania, this past weekend.
The exciting race saw Borich get a mid-pack
start and then move quickly to the front of
the pack on his Rockstar Makita Suzuki QuadRacer
R450. Borich took over second place and battled
for the lead right up to the last lap, when
he took over the lead and got the win. This
victory follows up Borich’s win at the
last round, where he moved into the points
lead in the overall championship standings.
Chris Borich
“It feels really good to put my Rockstar
Makita Suzuki QuadRacer R450 up on the podium
again. I can’t say enough about Suzuki
and Yoshimura – they have my bike dialed-in
and it gets the job done when I need it to.
Overall, having a 12-point lead is really a
confidence-booster for me. I thought having
that DNF a few rounds back would have been a
problem and would make it harder to get back
up there in points but I have recovered from
that sooner than I thought I would. Now I feel
ready for the next round, whether it’s
dry or muddy. We are prepared for just about
anything. I usually do well in Ohio, so I’m
looking forward to putting my Rockstar Makita
Suzuki back on the podium again at round eight.
I have been working hard for so long to take
a championship. I’m really hoping that
this is my year.”
