Streamline’s
new “FLOATER SERIES” brake rotors.
Rancho Cucamonga, CA (6/16/06) - All
metals "grow" when heated. The diameter of Stainless
brake discs can increase as much as 2mm (0.080 inch) at
elevated braking temperatures. When the disc is radially
restrained from growing (as in all one-piece discs) the
blade of the rotor is forced into a cone shape as temperature
increases which causes rotors to warp, adversely effecting
both temperature and pressure distribution within the
pads and the feel of the brake lever/pedal.
To eliminate this problem, Streamline Brakes known
for there high performance braking components has engineered,
tested, and now offers there FLOATER SERIES Brake Rotors.
Streamline’s new series of rotors utilize a 2
piece design.
Laser Cut, heat treated, high grade Stainless Steel
outer disc and Billet Aluminum center hub fastened together
using there tech 5 rivet system to allow radial growth
which will eliminate warping.
Streamline’s “Floater Series” brake
rotors are new to the ATV world. Streamline has spent
just under 2 years designing and testing these high
end rotors. With the help of Pro Riders such as John
Natalie Jr, Joe Byrd, Bill Ballance, Keith Little, Jeremy
Schell, & Darrell Patton, Streamline has given very
thorough testing to this new design. It is definitely
the first of its kind for ATV’s.
Best of all, these high end racing rotors retail close
the competitions standard 1 piece rotors. Check with
Streamline to find a dealer nearest you on there website
or give them a call. They would be more than happy to
