2013 Rubicon Trail Cantina for the Con Riding Event
9th Annual ATV & SxS / UTV Fundraiser Event for Rubicon Trail

Placerville, CA (8/29/2013) - Regardless of how many wheels are on your vehicle, or what size they happen to be, the Rubicon Trail is recreated by many.  Show your support by participating in this weekends Cantina for the Con event at the Loon Lake Spillway entrance.  It is an event featuring tacos, a raffle, a vendor midway and family friendly events throughout Saturday and Sunday. The event is accessible by car, RV or off-road vehicle.

“So many people think of the Rubicon Trail as a 4x4 only trail, but we see UTV’s, Motorcycles, Trials Bikes, Quads, Horses, Hikers, Bikers and others utilizing the trail,” said Rusty Folena, President of the Rubicon Trail Foundation.  “Our Foundation works every day to keep this trail open for everyone to use, specifically all types of motorized access.” Directions and more specific information can be found at  the Rubicon Trail Website

About the Rubicon Trail Foundation:
The 501(c)3 Donation helps the Rubicon Trail Foundation meet it’s goals.  Their mission: “To enhance the future health and use of the Rubicon Trail, while ensuring responsible motorized year-round trail access.”

The monetary support goes towards continued monitoring of important legal issues and political involvement at the Local and Federal level.  On trail, the money is used to educate trail users via mid-trail staff, supporting organized work parties and accessing private property for public enjoyment. The Rubicon Trail Foundation is a federally recognized, non-profit organization dedicated to the future health of the Rubicon Trail.

The Rubicon Trail acts as the support for Rubicon work projects and as a liaison with local government organizations. This support can range from getting approval for projects from the appropriate agencies, to feeding the volunteers, to buying the supplies needed to maintain the trail. We also fight the efforts of others to close or restrict use of the Rubicon Trail System.  All funds raised help to enhance the future health of the Rubicon Trail, while ensuring responsible motorized year-round access. Our Officers and Directors represent a wide variety of Rubicon Trail users and supports.

These include trail users, land owners, county representatives, manufacturers, and Rubicon event organizers.  For more information on getting involved or supporting the Rubicon Trail Foundation please call us at 1-888-6rubicon or visit our website at www.RubiconTrail.org
