St-Romuald, QC (7/1/2007) - After missing
round 2 and 3 of the WPSA championship, I was back in
action for the double header in Kentucky. With my 6th
place finish at round 1, I really wanted to comeback
strong and be in the Top 10 mix.
We had a problem with the ATV all weekend long which
give me trouble in all my qualifiers. We first
thought it was jetting but it turned out to be electrical.
We were finally able to get rid of it just in time
for the first main. Travis Spader and his mechanic
helped us out with a few things. It made things a
bit easier for us. I thank them for that.
My lap times were good during the practices and the
races, but I had bad starts all weekend. I had
some terrible luck in my qualifiers; fortunately I
was in for the final.
The final of the round 4 was red flagged and restarted.
I was one of the few to benefit from the restart.
I started around 14th and climbed the rank to finish
11th. It was not easy to make a pass on the track.
For the final of round 5, I was ready for a better
performance, but unfortunately I had bad start. I
rode hard to recover from my 14th place start and
finally finished 10th.
I know I can do much better but it was a good way
to be back in the serie.
