New Berlin, NY (6/10/2008) - This past weekend was the Unadilla AMA Pro ATV National in New Berlin, NY. After a rough start of the season, I am now back to where I want to be and my DS 450 is running really great. In the past month we made huge improvement and I feel comfortable on the bike and I have a lot of fun riding it. Come time for Unadilla, I was ready to go and ready to achieve my goals...

Well I did not lose time to show what I came to do. In the first practice season, I had the second fastest lap time. In the timed qualifier, I backed it up with another second fastest lap time. I had the right suspension setup and the track was my style.

On race day, the track condition was a bit different and I had a bit of a hard time with it. In the first moto, I had a tenth place start and started working my way up. I was all over 7th place when I clipped a hay bale while trying the inside. This small mistake proved to be costly as I lost three positions! I soon charged back to finish 10th. I was not very happy and I wanted to start the second moto right away!

Unfortunately, the rain came just before the second moto. I rocketed out of the gate but my outside starting gate was too far for the holeshot. It was terrible out on the track and I pulled 4-5 tear offs on the first lap. I rode smart not risking any move and trying to finish without a rock in my eye! I crossed the line in 9th for 8th Overall.

It was a fun weekend and I'm looking forward to the next time I will be racing in the US...I will be even more ready.
