The Quad Fest: The biggest ATV weekend event in Pennsylvania

Somerset, PA (7/18/2006) - On July 21, 22, and 23, Pennsylvania will once again bring you “The Quad Fest,” sponsored by Can-Am BRP. This year’s event hosted by PaAtving and Mountain Ridge Trails Resort will include 3 days of trail riding (over 60+ miles available each day) and a full schedule of events.

Over 2000+ riders are expected during the event which kicks off at 12 noon on Friday, July 21st, with the official Opening Ceremonies slated for 6pm on the main stage. Guests will be greeted at the gate by the local Boy Scouts of America, who will assist with parking and registration. Can-Am BRP, QuadFest’s corporate sponsor will be ready to offer Demo rides on 10+ bikes. Participants who show a driver’s license can sign up to take a demo bike out on a 2 mile loop to get a first hand experience of the power of the Can-Am BRP line. The company’s 2007 line-up, including the Renegade will also be available to see during the weekend. Can-Am BRP owners will also be invited to visit the VIP tent during the weekend sponsored by Truck and Cycle of Homer City. Three trails will be open for general riding, an easy “Family” loop, which is about 10 miles set aside especially for kids and their parents to ride at their own pace; A blue and black trail that run about 25+ miles each and are a little bit more challenging with rocks, woods riding and a few small hill climbs. Other events on Friday include Motocross Time Trials, the Kid’s Korner, Score Training and DJ Ted entertaining guests until 12 midnight. Fisher’s ATV World will be arriving Friday evening and will begin taping for an upcoming episode all day Saturday. For those who wish to stay on the property, FREE primitive camping is available for FREE as part of the $40 per rider entrance fee.

On Saturday, the gates will once again open bright and early at 7am with the 3 trails opening for general riding at 8am. Can-Am BRP will be ready for demo rides at 8am as well as the Kid’s Corner and continuation of the Motocross Time Trials. Mosites Motorsports is pleased to bring Mike Penland, Factory Rider for Can-Am BRP and 11 time Utility GNCC winner will be on property starting at 9am to participate in the demo rides as well as an autograph session later in the afternoon for the kids. The Drag Races will start registration at 1pm with the kid’s classes starting at 2pm and continuing through all classes into the evening. SCORE training will be available again on Saturday at 7pm and DJ Ted will take the stage again at 9pm.

On Sunday, QuadFest doesn’t wind down. The gates open at 7am and trails and Can-Am BRP demo rides begin at 8 and 9am respectively. Mud Bog registration begins at 8:30 am and the Kid’s Korner opens at 9am. The Silverback Auction takes center stage at 10:30am as over 20 prizes valued over $100 will be given to the lucky winners. A 2006 Polaris Phoenix sponsored by Highland Harley will be given away at 10:45am. Guests can purchase a chance to win a key to the caged Phoenix. 10 keys will be awarded and one will open the cage. The Mud Bog starts at 11am and boggers can test their bikes through a 2wd or 4wd pit. At 3pm the trails close and main stage will host the closing ceremonies.

Riders can still get tickets to the event for $40 per rider. Tickets are available at Cernics in Somerset, Johnstown or Duncansville. Or, TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE GATE.
