of the XP1K video filmed at an abandoned iron
mine complex in California.

Ryan Piplic won the Ultimate UTV Challenge
in his Polaris RZR XP 900 just hours
before he went for the SxS Jump World
Record |
Shortly after 7PM, Ryan Piplic charged at
the ramp at over 75 mph in his FOX Polaris
RZR XP 1000, and he broke the record in his
second jump of the night landing at 155.66
feet, which broke Anderson’s record by nearly
26 feet.
Several thousand spectators witnessed the
jump, and the crowd went wild when he nearly
flat landed the jump, but Piplic was fine,
and he quickly jumped out of his RZR and climbed
on the roof in celebration.

SxS Jump World Record |
“I did a 130 feet in my first run as a crowd
pleasure, but my second run, I put everything
on the line and stopped looking at my speed
at 75mph, and I made it, my car made it, didn’t
flip, broke my shock, but you know what, with
that hard of a hit, I still wouldn’t have
anything else on it but FOX shocks,” said
Piplic after his jump.
Piplic’s wife, Jamie, was at home in Las
Vegas, NV watching everything play out via
facetime since she is on bed rest pregnant
with twins.
Next up for Ryan Piplic is the BAJA 1000
with Cognito Racing, and after that he is
focusing on staying home with his wife Jamie
until the twin boys are born, which Piplic
refers to as his “future racers.”
The World Record jump distance for a SxS
has changed three times this year already,
so it is safe to say that Ryan Piplic’s SxS
World Record jump is already the target mark
for another daredevil, and it will only be
a matter of time before a new record distance
will be set.
