AMA MAXC Racing Series Heads to Gosport, IN for Round 9

Gosport, IN (10/17/2013) – The AMA MAXC Racing Series will head to Gosport, IN on October 19, 2013 for AMA MAXC Round 9. For the second year, the AMA MAXC Racing Series will host the Rally in the Valley, which is arguably one of the best tracks for spectators. The 10-mile course features some of the best terrain in Indiana with many topography changes including several hill climbs, tight woods, creek crossings, and several high speed open field sections.

There will be plenty of parking at this event and many of the action packed areas on the track are just a short walk away from vendor row!
Many vendors will be available at the Rally in the Valley including Maxxis Tires, Spider Graphix, T&T Motorsports, and many more! Outerwears will also be handing out “Mud Flea” shirts for those who plan on hanging out in the mud.
As the season begins to wind down, the points chase in both the Bike and ATV classes begin to heat up as only two round remain to determine many points championships.
In the Pro Bike Class, Chris Bach has a firm hold on first place with a an impressive seven wins total which has earned him a 45 point lead over second place Austin Lee. Sitting third in the Pro Bike Class is one of many fan favorites Steven Squire with 160 points. Rounding out the Pro Bike Class Point Chase Top Five is Adam Bonneur with 149 points and Derrik Allen with 143 points.
The Pro ATV Class the points battle has been a lot tighter this season. Ballance Racing’s Taylor Kiser currently holds down the number one position with 221 points with three wins total. Kiser has not finished off the podium once this season and he has no plans on changing that. Cunningham Racing’s Kevin Cunningham has been consistent throughout the season and it has paid off earning him the second spot in the Pro ATV Class with 197 points heading into round 9. Sitting third in the Pro ATV Class Point Race is defending Champion Ryan lane with 162 points. Walker Fowler currently sits fourth despite his four wins so far this season. Tied for fifth place is Jay Humphrey and Brycen Neal.
Only time will tell who will be the victor of each class as only two rounds remain in the 2013 AMA MAXC Racing Season!
Racers can still preregister online to save time waiting in line at the race. Preregistration will close on Friday October 18th at 6 pm. Racers will still be able to register at the race Saturday before their race starts.
The Youth Bike Class is set to kick off the event Saturday morning at 8 a.m. followed by Youth ATV Class at 9:15 a.m., and the Peewee Class at 10:15 a.m. The adult classes will start with the Adult Bike class leaving the starting line around 11:30 a.m. and the Adult ATV Class at 2:30 p.m.
