AMA MAXC Racing Series Heads to Culver, IN for Round 8

Culver, IN (9/26/2013) – The AMA MAXC Racing Series will make its return North to Culver, IN on September 28, 2013 for the second annual Blackhawk MAXC hosted by the Plymouth Blackhawks Motorcycle Club.

The Blackhawk MAXC is one of the many fan favorites because of its sandy terrain and many great areas for spectators to watch all the racing action! The Plymouth Blackhawks crew has been hard at work laying out the track for MAXC round 8. The AMA MAXC Racing Series is very thankful for the opportunity to be working with the Plymouth Blackhawks Motorcycle Club, as they are one of the founding fathers of cross-country racing and is the oldest and most well respected riding clubs in the state of Indiana.

The terrain at the Blackhawk MAXC is unique because of its sandy base with different colored sand throughout the 8-mile course. There isn’t any hill climbs at this round, but the track is still very fun with many open field areas, tight woods, and many natural jumps through out the course.

Last year it was Culver, Indiana’s own Chris Bach who took the win in the Pro Bike class. In the Pro ATV Class it was Adam McGill who made his way through the pouring rain to land on the top of the podium. Only time will tell who will conquer the sandy terrain at the Blackhawk MAXC and top the podium!

Racers can still preregister online to save time waiting in line at the race by visiting. Preregistration will close on Friday September 27th at 6 pm. Racers will still be able to register at the race Saturday before their race starts.

The Youth Bike Class is set to kick off the event Saturday morning at 8 a.m. followed by Youth ATV Class at 9:15 a.m., and the Peewee Class at 10:15 a.m. The adult classes will start with the Adult Bike class leaving the starting line around 11:30 a.m. and the Adult ATV Class at 2:30 p.m.

The AMA MAXC will also be co-sanctioning with the KCCR Series to host a non-points race in beautiful Clay City, Kentucky on October 13, 2013. This event will let racers get aquatinted with the KCCR series and get a sneak peek of a new location for the AMA MAXC Racing series next year.
