Pro ATV Racer
|
Murrieta, CA (2/20/2009) - With
the 2009 race season only weeks away, KTM has
announced the addition of several new riders
to their support program that will be participating
in a wide variety of events over the coming
year.
Although KTM has scaled back a bit on their
factory efforts due to the economy, they have
extended their support program to include a
more grassroots style program. Among those that
will be participating in the KTM rider support
program is Extreme Dirt Track National Pro,
Chuckie Creech.
Chuckie will be making his KTM debut aboard
the KTM 450SX for the EDT series and will also
be trying his hand at a few National Motocross
events as well.
“Chuckie has show a lot of potential
and we are very excited to have him on board
for the EDT series, especially because of the
heritage that goes along with that series with
Tim Farr being a former champion,” said
KTM Specialty Vehicle Product Line Manager,
Chris Vogtman.
ITP Quadcross pro racer Jason Fife will be
one of the riders chosen to represent KTM on
the west coast. “Jason is a young rider
with a lot of potential and we a re really looking
forward to seeing his performance in an exciting
and fast growing series such as the ITP Quadcross,”
stated Vogtman.
KTM will also be providing support to Nate
Morello, who will be returning to the Pro class
of the NEATV-MX series this year and Adam Clark
will be sporting the orange and black colors
in the AMA ATV Motocross Nationals Pro-am class
for 2009. The desert racing team of Cody Mitchell
and Shaun Moore will competing on the KTM 525XC
in the Quad Pro class of the BITD series out
west and have already seen some good results
taking second in their class at the season opener.
KTM is already boasting an impressive roster
of talented riders, but they don’t plan
to stop there, and will be adding more riders
to the support program. “We are still
waiting for confirmation from a couple of other
riders and we will announce them at a later
date,” said Vogtman. “We are also
making strong offers to the amateur racers in
ATV racing. We don’t want to be known
as just a dirtbike company, but also as a company
that makes great ATV’s and is there to
support the efforts of all racers in this sport,”
Vogtman concluded.
Although the ’09 season is almost here,
KTM states that they are still accepting resumes
for their support program through the end of
February. Any riders who are interested in obtaining
support for the 2009 season, should email their
resumes to ktmatvracer@ktmnorthamerica.com.
