Amherst, OH (6/8/2007) -
Eleven-time ATV National Champion, Tim Farr, has
teamed-up with KTM to assist in the development
and testing of the new KTM Sport ATV.
Farr’s race career started early at the
young age of eight years old. Since that time
Farr has racked up 11 Pro ATV National Championships,
two Extreme Dirt Track Series Championships,
and a SCORE Baja 1000 Open ATV title. In addition
to his last ATVA Extreme Dirt Track Pro Championship
in 2006 he also won the ATVA Athlete of the
Year Award.
“We are absolutely ecstatic to have such
a well decorated athlete join our team. Farr
will be an extreme asset to the KTM team and
very instrumental to the development of the
KTM Sport ATV.” said KTM’s Director
of Racing Kurt Nicoll.
Farr’s education and race experience
make him a perfect candidate to help in the
development of the new KTM race machine. Farr
comes to KTM with an engineering background,
over 11 years of competitive racing under his
belt, and many seasons working with the Japanese
manufactures on ATV related R&D projects.
Farr said he felt comfortable moving to KTM
because they wanted to build a competitive ATV,
an ATV built specifically with the racer in
mind, an ATV that he could relate to.

Farr stated, “The KTM Sport ATV is a great
product. It comes with everything you need. The
handlebars, brakes and suspension work great.
You don’t have to sink a whole bunch of
money into this quad to make it ready to go, it
truly comes “Ready to Race.”
In addition to on-going, regular scheduled
tests, Farr will also be competing in select
ATVA series events, including GNCC and Extreme
Dirt Track Series. His first event will be round
one of the ATVA Extreme Dirt Track Series on
June 9-10, 2007 in Greenbrier, AR.
