Tim Farr |
Amherst, OH (6/20/2007) -
In line with continued testing and development
of the KTM Sport ATV, Tim Farr will race the Snowshoe
GNCC June 23-24, 2007. The Moose Snowshoe GNCC
marks Round 8 of the 2007 GNCC Series.
Farr’s last GNCC race occurred a decade
ago back in 1997. The Snowshoe GNCC will mark
the first GNCC event for the KTM Sport ATV.
Farr claims his confidence is high and he is
excited to return to the GNCC Series with a
brand new product and purpose for racing. Through
the duration of his career he has campaigned
nearly every type of ATV racing including, Baja,
Motocross, Extreme Dirt Track and GNCC -- earning
11 pro championship titles.
Farr will race the KTM 450XC Sport ATV in the
Pro Am class. This is the same model with which
Farr won the Unlimited class at the opening
round of the Extreme Dirt Track Series earlier
this month in Greenbrier, AR. The dirt track
course provided the team with a deeper insight
in regards to how the ATV handles during high
speed, however, the GNCC course will serve as
a much rougher testing ground. “This race
is an opportunity to test the new KTM ATV XC
in extreme conditions.” Farr continues,
“The challenging layout and rocky course
will allow us the opportunity to test the ATV
from all angles.”
KTM’s Director of Racing Kurt Nicoll
stated, “We are thrilled with how Tim
and the KTM Sport ATV have preformed so far
and look forward to another great testing opportunity
and, of course, a strong finish at the Snowshoe
GNCC.”
