Tim Farr |
Ashtabula, OH (7/24/2007) -
Eleven-time Pro ATV Champion, Tim Farr, dominated
the competition at the fourth round of the Extreme
Dirt Track Series in Ashtabula, OH over the weekend.
The Pine Lake facility is known for the longest
running ATV race in the country. Pine Lake is
also Farr’s hometown track as Farr grew
up only ten minutes from the facility. Farr fans
show up by the truckloads each year to cheer on
their local hero.
Farr’s weekend started out well as he took
home his heat race win on Saturday after grabbing
the holeshot and maintaining the lead through
the checkered flag in the Pro-Am Unlimited class.
In Sunday’s main event, Farr and his
KTM 450XC Sport ATV rocketed off the line when
the light turned green. Farr pulled just shy
of a four bike length lead half-way down the
straightaway. The orange streak continued to
blaze around the track and Farr built upon his
lead each lap. Farr stayed strong throughout
the race claiming the win. Finishing second
was Darin Ogden who made a last minute pass
on Brandon Hill who would end up third.
Now with two wins under his belt Farr sits
in the points lead for the Championship. Brandon
Hill has moved into second place and Zack Stanley
is third in overall points going into round
five. Round 5 of the EDT Series will be held
at Ozark Mountain ATV Raceway in Ava, MO on
August 4, 2007.
