“2009 was a fantastic year for Team KTM
UK, and with the help and support of all our valued
sponsors we put together a winning package that
saw both Paul Holmes and James Hellewell delivering
superb results throughout the year. We took the
decision recently not to renew the one-year contract
that was in place with Paul (Holmes), but with
continued full factory support from KTM for 2010
we will be the highest profile team in the paddock,
so it is important to have high profile riders
who can not only deliver results but act as the
best ambassadors for the Team and our sponsors.
I am delighted to have signed Paul (Winrow), Jason
and James for 2010 and am really looking forward
to the season ahead with riders of this calibre.
All three riders will compete in the ACU British
MMX Quad Championship on board KTM 505 SX machines,
with Jason and James also taking in the full seven
rounds of the Goldspeed EMX Quad European Championship.
Paul (Winrow) will also take part in some rounds
of the European Championship, but his other main
point of focus will be defending his QRA ACU British
Quad Cross Country Championship title on a KTM
525 XC. In addition to this the team will also
feature in other key International races such
as Le Touquet, Pont De Vaux and Weston Beach Race.
We have put in place a fantastic rider line-up
that will no doubt deliver winning results, and
I’m really looking forward to working closely
with our sponsors and their fantastic products,
help and support for a successful 2010.”
