Nashville, TN (9/18/2009) - Broken
Bow/Holeshot Records artist Krista Marie, whose
new single, "Tomboy," is already receiving
radio airplay across the country, is shooting her
debut music video for the song this week in Nashville
and at the NHRA Carolinas Nationals drag race event
in Concord, NC. Joining forces with Krista on the
rockin' video are certified tomboys Ashley Force
Hood, First Female Funny Car Driver to win the NHRA
Mac Tools US Nationals at the O'Reilly Raceway Park
in Indianapolis and award-winning director Trey
Fanjoy.
The action-packed clip will include racing footage
from a variety of Krista's horsepower passions,
behind-the-scenes footage from this weekend's NHRA
Full Throttle drag race event in North Carolina
and a performance shoot in Nashville.
Krista first met Ashley Force Hood last year at
a drag racing event in Memphis. Ashley is the daughter
of drag racing icon John Force and was one of the
stars of the A&E Network series "Driving
Force." Last season, she became the first female
champion in the NHRA Full Throttle Funny Car division.
Trey Fanjoy's creative vision has been responsible
for over 200 major label music videos. Her work
has been seen on CMT, VH-1 and MTV. She has received
multiple CMA, ACM, Billboard, MVPA and CMT nominations,
in addition to being named CMT's Director of The
Year.
"Ashley and I share a need for speed and a
love of music," said former ATV competitive
racer Krista. "Knowing Trey's work, and especially
after meeting her, I knew she was the one director
who could capture our tomboy natures on film."
Krista wrote "Tomboy" with Victoria Banks
and Rachel Proctor. The music video will be hitting
airwaves mid-October, and Krista's debut album will
be in stores after the first of the year.
