Joe Byrd Second at AMA Pro ATV MX Wildcat Creek Round 4
AMA ATV Motocross - Round 4 - Wildcat Creek MX - Rossville, IN - May 11, 2013

Union City, TN (5/14/2013) -  Team Joe Byrd had an impressive “come-back” weekend at Round 4 of the AMA ATV Nationals at Wildcat Creek MX Track.  With Team Joe Byrd’s championship mechanic, Bill Micke and Andy Lambert, Owner of P1 Suspension back at his side it appears that this team has worked out the kinks they battled with during the first 3 rounds.

In Moto 1, Joe Byrd rounded the holeshot coming out 4th. Making his way up to the 3rd position after the first lap, as the race continued, Joe Byrd began to catch up to Natalie in 2nd and Hetrick in first but on the 11th lap Chad Weinen made a pass on him and with Byrd’s #7 machine suffering from a minor mechanical problem decided to not pass back. Ending Moto 1, Byrd had an impressively fast 14th lap at 1:26.391; being told it was the fastest lap of the Pro Moto. Byrd ended Moto 1, 5th as the checkered flag waived.

As the gate dropped in Moto 2, Byrd was in 4th place at the holeshot turn, making his way to 2nd position on the 2nd lap. He held onto his position for the whole Moto and ended 2nd as the checker wave flagged. This would put Byrd on the Podium with a 2nd place overall.  Team Joe Byrd looks forward to the next race on May 25th at Sunset Ridge in Walnut, Illinois and hungry for more podiums during the remainder of the season.

We would also like to Congratulate Vital Cazenave for his 1st overall in Open A and his 6th overall in ProAm . Be on the look out for this guy, he will only get faster!
