Interview: Jeremiah Jones - Suzuki ATV Race Consultant

Jeremiah Jones Private ATV Riding Schools Announced for Fall

Bowling Green, KY (8/22/2008) - Three-time AMA ATVA Pro Motocross champion and current Suzuki Rider Coach/Consultant, Jeremiah Jones, announced recently that he will be holding several private riding schools this fall and is currently accepting email inquiries to determine the when’s and where’s of his classes.

“It’s going to be just me out there, so I want to limit the class sizes to about 2-3 students at a time. That way I am able to give each rider more individual attention and focus more on what each individual needs,” said J.J. who plans to hold most of the schools at his track in Bowling Green, KY, and possibly at another track in South Carolina, but Jeremiah also is keeping options open for other locations as well. “I don’t have a limit as to how many schools I put on so that will be determined more by interested in my classes.”

Jeremiah also states that his classes can be either one or two day sessions and that his classes are different from most other riding classes that are currently offered by Pro racers. “Most other classes have a set curriculum, but that’s not how I do my classes. My classes are pretty laid back. I find out what the students weaknesses are out on the track and what they would like to become better at and then we focus on those weaknesses,” stated Jones.

Jeremiah indicates that his classes are based on motocross, but he also works with cross-country riders as well. “A lot of cross country races incorporate a little MX into the mix, like the WORCS series and some of the GNCC events, so learning basic motocross skills can really help give racers an advantage out there,” Jeremiah explained. Besides being open to all types of riders, Jones indicated he is also accepting just about every skill level as well.

Riders who sign up for lesson should be aware of what to bring with them when attending the schools. “Riders should come prepared as if they were going to a race. They should bring tools, extra tires and some parts if needed, water, food...the basics,” said Jones. “We do offer primitive camping on site or their are hotels in the area for students who will be traveling some distance for the classes.”

Anyone who would like more information about the riding schools or is interested in scheduling lessons with J.J. should email him directly at slick23racing@hotmail.com.
