JB Racing's Joel Hetrick Third at ATV Motocross Opener
JB Racing Team Takes Several Top Finishes

East Springfeild, PA (3/26/2014) - The opening round of the Mt.Dew ATV Motocross National Championship was held in Washington, Georgia at Aonia Pass. The JB Racing Team had a great opening weekend with several racers taking top finishes, including Joel Hetrick taking third in the AMA Pro ATV class on his new JB Racing’s Can-Am DS450 ride for 2014.

Joel Hetrick raced his new JB Racing’s Can-Am to a third place finish at the opening round. Hetrick had an awesome start in moto one, coming off the gate in second. He didn’t waste much time and took over the lead. He held the lead for nine laps and even laid down the fastest lap of the moto, an impressive, 01:33.086 on lap two. Hetrick finished the moto in second just one second off the pace of the leader.  Moto two also went well, with Hetrick taking third. His 2-3 finishes secured him third overall for the day.

“It was a great race. We were really bunched up and the laps were intense, but it was awesome. The Can-Am worked great. My Elka Shocks and DWT Tires were awesome and I couldn’t be happier with how the JB Can-Am performed. I am really looking forward to this season,” regarded Hetrick after the race.

Jeffrey Rastrelli raced his Can-Am to a 7-6 finish and took sixth for the round. Rastrelli had a two good starts and kept himself in the mix both motos. The sixth overall matched the best finish of Rastrelli’s pro career.

“The Can-Am worked great! It had plenty of power and handled awesome. The ITP Tires worked great on the rough track. I plan to go home and get some more testing in, work on my speed and come out fighting at Muddy Creek,” said Rastrelli.

Duck Lloyd is back on the JB Racing team this season, although he has switched to the Can-Am. Lloyd took tenth in the Pro-Am class after going 7-7 in the motos.

“I came out in fifth place off the start and then eventually dropped back to seventh. I need to practice and try to get some shock work done on the new Can-Am. I’m going to work with my mechanic a bit this week and get everything dialed, so I am ready to rip at Muddy Creek,” said Lloyd after the race.

Blake Sarver raced his JB 250 Mod in the School Boy Jr. Open class and took fourth. Sarver had good starts in both motos and was able to go 3-5 to secure fourth for the round.

“There’s a lot of competition this year in the junior open class. I could really feel the pressure in both motos and worked hard to take fourth. My JB 250 ran great, it is by far my favorite quad and I am looking forward to putting it out front this season,” regarded Sarver.

Grayson Eller took second in the School Boy Jr on his JB Racing Honda 300EX. Eller grabbed the holeshot in moto one and then checked out to take the win. He followed that up with second in moto two. His 1-2 finish earned him second overall for the round.

“It felt great to get on the podium. I am hoping for a strong year in the 300 class,” said Eller.

The Peter's brothers also had a great opening round. Logan Peters took second after going 2-2 in the 50 Single Speed class. Tyler Peters took third in the School Boy Sr. class after going 5-3.

“I had a good holeshot in moto two and worked my way into third. Once in third, I just rode my own race. I am looking forward to getting some more training in and coming out strong at Muddy Creek,” regarded Peters.

Maddison Guyer took third in the Girls Sr. Shifter (12-15) class. She finished 5-2 in the motos.

“I wasn’t really happy with my finishes. I am there to win and will work really hard to get out front at Muddy Creek,” said Guyer. She is headed to Texas from some training with Megan Manshack as she chases after her goal of winning at Muddy Creek.

The JB Racing Team will be back in just a couple weeks for round two. The Muddy Creek Mtn. Dew ATV national will be held Saturday and Sunday,  April 5-6,  in Blountville, Tennessee.
