St. Clairsville, OH (7/10/2014) - The JB Off-Road Racing Team put on a good show at the twelfth round of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Race. JB’s Larry Hendershot raced his Can-Am Maverick to a fifth place finish.

Larry Hendershot and the Can-Am / JB 44 Maverick got off to a great start. He started on the second row, and quickly worked his way into fourth position. Hendershot settled into the fourth spot and kept a close hold on third, with less than a second separating them on the first two laps.

On lap three Hendershot dropped to the fifth position, despite dropping a position he put on a charge and claimed the fifth spot at the checkers, a whopping 1:40 over sixth position.

Tim Farr, piloting the JB Off-Road / Can-Am 41 Maverick had a great start off the first line and battled for the lead early on. He had a few issues that dropped him to tenth at the end of lap one. In spite of the issues he was having he charged to eighth on lap two and then took over the sixth position on four.  Farr’s luck took a bad turn on the final lap when a mechanical issue sidelined him and the #41 Maverick.

“I had a really great start and everything felt awesome. The JB prepped Maverick was dialed in and we were flying. The track was awesome. They had it laid out great and conditions were near perfect. I am bummed that I ran into issues that didn’t allow us to finish where we could have, but I am looking forward to Ironman. I took the win there last year and am hoping for a repeat,” regarded Farr after the race.
